Evening notes

Rain lashing down, winds are howling at force 9. Again. It's still winter, obviously. We're in for a short, sharp shock of winter, after which the Atlantic will resume its sway.

Heard a pitiful story of an pilot who had suffered a mental breakdown at the controls of a commercial airliner. He wanted to talk to God. The plane, flying from Toronto to London, landed in Ireland. The man was taken off to be taken to hospital, as he had suffered a mental breakdown. The passengers disembarked, but were flown on to London 8 hours late.

  3. Oh my gosh and we trust these pilots to get us to our destination safely when we climb into those big silver tubes.  The poor man, I hope he gets help but I also hope he's never allowed to fly again.   Cold & windy here this afternoon, too.   Linda in Washington state

  5. We had some crazy weather last night.  Rain was coming down so loudly.  Good sleeping weather.  The wind was so loud that I thought it was a low flying plane until Dirk told me no.  I felt highly intelligent.  Denote the sarcasm in prior sentence.  I had not heard about the pilot who had wanted to speak to God.  At first I thought it was the beginning of a bad joke.  It sounds like he's getting the attention he asked for and needed. Glad all passengers were safe.

  6. In winter I love to hear rain falling and the winds blowing with a fire going. It gives me a safe and secure feeling. Like I am in the womb of the storm I guess. Inside and safe and warm. Peace

  7. Aye its wild and wooly outside Guido.  We are havin such inclement weather these days..warm and dry one day cold windy and freezing rain the next.  Snow to be expected over the weekend too.     Well!   At least is gives us all something to talk about.  Lol!
Scary about that pilot.  Not a good place for delusions to take place.  So glad everyone got down safely and he is being looked after.

  9. Sounds like a perfect evening to stay indoors, safe & sound.  How awful for the Pilot.  I wonder what triggered his breakdown, scary situation for passengers on the plane.  You are really good with giving me even more reasons not to fly!  ;)
