Sunrise colours

I regularly check the webcam looking out over Mt St Helens in Washington State. Noticed these startling colours at sunrise, with the plume of smoke coloured grey on one side and orange on the other side. Incidentally, sunset will occur in 30 minutes' time at my location.

    Very interesting.  We have been having some beautiful sunsets here, due in part I think, to no rain and air polution.  We have a burn ban this week until Saturday, when some precipitation is expected.  There is a beautiful sunrise right now.  Joni in Washington State.

    Interesting photo.  I was so interested in Mt. Helens since I lived in that state a while.  When the volcano erupted, oh my goodness, what devastation!  Gerry
